ABOUT ME
For more than 15 years, I’ve been exploring a question that still fascinates me and lights me up every single day: how is technology changing the way we think, feel and live?
As a journalist, I’ve covered emerging technologies for publications including MIT Technology Review, National Geographic, New Scientist, Wired and TechRadar. I’ve interviewed founders, researchers, psychologists, futurists and everyday users, giving me a deep understanding of both the technologies shaping our future and the ways people actually respond to them.
I’ve always been interested in what happens beyond the technology itself. I love exploring the strange behaviours that emerge around it and the assumptions we make about progress. I really enjoy talking to people to find out how we embrace, resist, fear and hope for the future. And I find it fascinating to draw unexpected connections between new technologies and much older questions about how to live a good life.
That’s the thinking behind The Future Hunter, my newsletter about technology, human behaviour and making sense of a world that’s changing so fast. I write essays that draw on psychology, philosophy, culture and science to explore the weird edges of the future.
That perspective also shapes my work with brands, organisations and media companies. I help them look beyond the headlines and understand emerging technologies in a broader human and cultural context.
I also write branded content, front video campaigns, host and chair events, and create content across my own social media channels.
My book, Screen Time, grew from the same curiosity that drives everything I do: understanding what technology is really doing to us, and how we might live better alongside it.
